I sat through the MTV Video Music Awards. Some thoughts:

-I hate Avril Lavigne, but when she brushed off that tart from American Idol who tried to hug her, it got a laugh out of me.

-What the hell was Christina Aguilera wearin'? Didn't help that she spoke like she just snorted a line...

-The Hives have a nice gimmick goin', but I'm still not really diggin' them musically.

-The Vines? I don't see it. At all.

-Eminem's a bitch. I don't like Moby either, but come on, that "feud" was way too forced, Eminem's trying way too hard.

-Out of the nominees, The White Stripes should've won Best Video... Why was P.O.D. even nominated?

-Watching Rick and Ed The Sock kiss Avril Lavigne's ass during every break was pissing me off. Yeah yeah, she namedropped Muchmusic in her acceptance speech, please...

-Damn The Strokes and their worldwide popularity and touring commitments, this show could've used them tonight.
