It's pot-luck day...
I upped the brand spankin' new Tommy heavenly6 video (aka Tommy february6... aka Tomoko "The Brilliant Green is dead without me" Kawase). I think this is the first time someone's ever done a spinoff solo alter-ego of an existing spinoff solo alter-ego. Confused? Just watch the video, then check out her official site. Super magical happy fun stuff. And her booze gimmick rules.
Good Charlotte was on a UK show called Recovered last week, where the band plays one of their own songs followed by a cover of their choice. And huge bloody surprise, the gits chose Acquiesce, not to mention making a ballsy statement during the post-song interview. So... go listen to it. Also note, this is the only time you'll ever see a Good Charlotte performance posted here.
Did we all watch the Juemilia video over in their special section yet? Eh?
I watched The Animatrix DVD, which is really good by the way. So the Wachowski brothers goal for The Matrix trilogy was to make a living anime... well I'd still rather watch anime. Why do people get so shocked when I say I think the movie is pants anyway? Technically and visually I admit it's well done, but I think the story behind it blows. Flashy CG alone ain't enough, that'd be like passing judgment on videogames based on aesthetics.
You want a real epic? Check out the BATTLE ROYALE 2 TRAILER. Now that's how you make 'em. Even though the director Kinji Fukasaku passed away during production, his son lives on, and going by the amount of teenagers being blown to bits in the trailer, he's doing his late great father proud.
If only Thom Yorke didn't act like such a miserable wank, then maybe I'd give Radiohead a better listen. It doesn't help that alot of their fans have this elitist/student attitude, where Radiohead are fucking gods amongst men and every other band is shit for dimwits. Because you can't be an art major and not like Radiohead, ya know. This twat's one of them. What the hell is he saying? It's not fucking English anymore! I tell you this, I'm no songwriter, but I think it'd be tougher to write a good tune with a good hook and melody without going over that line heading into bubblegum crap, rather than some of the verseless/chorusless electronic noise that they churn out sometimes. It's a shame, cause I think Thom Yorke is a top writer, but what goes on in that head of his sometimes...
I'm gonna go get the Knives Out video, that was class.
+: You know what's funny? When Ail gets back from the Coldplay show tonight she's likely to write an entry about it. What's funny about that you say? Almost every one of you guys who even remotely visits this site is going to the show with her. Have a good one tonight kids, and if people stay sitting, don't forget to politely tell them to stand the fuck up. I'm still miffed about that.
